CSI official praises Sanders for his service

Community Services Inc., a Texas non-profit community action agency, recently recognized its community partner Henderson County Judge Richard Sanders for his continued support to CSI.

“It has been and continues to be an honor to have active participation from our local public officials in our efforts to provide support services that empower and enrich low income individuals, families and communities,” said Daniel Edwards Sr., president and CEO of CSI.

According to CSI, Sanders represented the public sector on the board of directors. He has also had an open-door policy to the leadership of CSI concerning its requests to meet the needs of Henderson County.

“Local teaming efforts are integral to social service agencies achieving their mission/vision through a strategic framework with targeted service delivery,” Edwards said.

CSI is the designated community action agency in Henderson County, providing services for more than 900 households annually to low-income individuals and families to help lift them out of poverty. CSI has been serving Henderson County since 1965.

It is one of the largest private, non-profit social services agencies serving the county.

Community Services Inc. recognizes Judge Davenport for continued support

Community Services Incorporated, a Texas private non-profit Community Action Agency, recognized its community partner and Navarro County H.M. Davenport, Jr. for his continued support to CSI.

Judge Davenport has been integral with regards to past board appointments to represent the Public Sector on the Board of Directors as his designee to facilitating processes to approve local funding for CSI’s Meals on Wheels Program through Resolutions on an annual basis required to sustain funding from the Texas Department of Agriculture.

“It has been and continues to be an honor to have active participation from our local Public Officials in our efforts to provide support services that empower and enrich low-income individuals, families, and communities,” said Daniel Edwards, Sr. President/CEO for CSI. “That local teaming efforts are integral to social service agencies achieving their mission and vision through a strategic framework with targeted service delivery.”

CSI is the designated Community Action Agency within Navarro County providing services to over 900 households annually to low-income individuals and families to help lift them out of poverty. CSI has been serving Navarro County since 1965. As one of the largest private non-profit human/social services agencies serving Navarro County, CSI provides resources and opportunities to the low-income to improve their lives, contribute to their communities and offers a return on investment for the communities, cities, and county.

Programs include Meals on Wheels, Transportation Services and targeted services designed to equip individuals’ with necessary resources to transition out of poverty.
